Doan has been out since Dec. 4 due to what later was diagnosed as Rocky Mountain Fever, a tick-borne illness. ”I think I’ve got enough and feel good enough that I can go,” Doan told the team’s website after the Coyotes’ practice Friday. “I want to play. …
I want to be able to help out. Guys are battling hard and doing everything they can to find ways to win. You want to help. That’s what we’re supposed to do and that’s what I’m paid to do. I want to get out there and try to do it.”
In 12 games without Doan, the Coyotes went 4-3-5.
Despite missing a month, Doan leads the team with 12 goals. He has 23 points in 27 games.
